RYC: Thank you. That is such BULLSHIT. Tell me, what is more important that a celebration of new life? Normally I don't wish bad things on anyone, including my enemies... but this is a different story. Seems justified to hope your boss ends of with pirhanas in his jockey shorts! Grrrrr.... My father-in-law spent almost two years in Iraq during Desert Storm. While he was there, his main job was to patrol the grounds at night. one morning around 1am, he watched as a small child ran up to his partner (who was around 200 yards away) and handed him a paper brown bag. The minute he took the bag, it blew... When he was finally discharged, he ended up running behind schedule to get on the bus that would take him from the hotel he was at to the airstrip... the five minutes he was late saved his life. A suicide bomber had run onto the bus. He retired after that and joined the National Guard. Next month, they are sending him to Fallejah for no less than a year. He received his orders last week. He was lucky twice. I don't know if it will hold out for this deployment. My sister-in-law is getting married next year... we have no idea if he will be there to walk her down the aisle. IDK. I just hate thinking about it... [Nightscape211]

i went back and read your other entries.. something struck me kinda weird...
i know that the circumstances are different
but i wear my fathers wedding ring on a necklace...
my father died in '97
i wear it to remember him and also tell myself that life is short...

i must read back a few pages...
to miss the birth of your first child, that must have been hard..
i couldnt miss it...lol
my husband took off for 6 weeks...
you know men act all big and bad...
but the birth made him cry...
your baby must be 2 now...
just to ask you something...
do you think that the war is justified??
i got into a big thing with another army person in here
when i stated that i thought that this war was unjustified...
and that i wanted our troops to come home...
and that i felt that bush was doing an awful job...
just wanted to know your opinion ....

I'd shoot the bastard. If my partner hadn't been able to get to the birth of his first child (which he was, Wednesday just gone) I would've killed the person responsible for him missing it. [Kyrauk]
